Design, Implement Real-World, Project Based Aerospace and Aviation Education Programs
This new program will build an infrastructure for aviation and aerospace educational projects in Alaska, leading to high-level skill sets and career technology-oriented projects. Real-time projects will be developed by Alaskan student teams, who will identify and solve real-world tasks in partnership with aviation and aerospace organizations. A unique opportunity is currently available which allows Alaska school districts to get in on the ground floor and work on aviation and aerospace projects with NASA Ames Research Center, and dynamically participate in the development of ongoing projects with NASA scientists, researchers, engineers, programmers and managers. Professional development programs will be provided to train teachers and administrators for implementing project-based learning activities in collaboration with other districts throughout Alaska, the USA and other countries.
